The DataScape animation constructs a landscape using animated statistical information gained from the gapminder.org and the earthobservatory.nasa.gov/GlobalMaps. The DataScape’s ground grows out of the CO2 and SO2 emissions data, its sky lives from the Internet users and mobile phones data. The bio-layer connecting the ground and the sky is fed by the life expectancy and urban population data. At the end a flock of bats arising from the Land Surface Temperature data shadows the DataScape.
